The layer of your website only robots can read.

What is Schema & Structured Data?

The machine-readable layer that tells Google and AI engines who you are, what you do, and why to show you — implemented right, validated with receipts.

The problem

Google shows some businesses with star ratings, FAQs, videos, and rich detail right on the results page — and shows yours as two plain blue lines. The difference usually isn't the business; it's structured data: a machine-readable layer most sites simply don't have. And in the AI-search era the stakes doubled, because structured facts are what AI engines cross-check before they'll confidently name your business in an answer.

What we do

We write and deploy the structured-data layer for your entire site — in JSON-LD, the format Google recommends — covering your organization, your services, your service area, your FAQs, your videos, and the specific facts that make you credible: licensing, ownership attributes, hours, the works. Every piece is validated against Google's own testing tools before it ships, and we show you the validation.

Just as important is what we won't do. Star-rating (review) schema only goes on pages where the reviews are genuine, verifiable, and actually shown — because fabricated or misrepresented review markup violates Google's structured-data policy and risks a penalty that costs far more than the stars were worth. If a shortcut can get you punished, it's not on our menu.

How it works

  1. Schema audit. What's on the site today, what's broken, what's missing versus what your pages are eligible for.
  2. Mapping. Every page type matched to its correct schema types — organization, service, FAQ, video, local business, breadcrumbs.
  3. Implementation. JSON-LD written and deployed sitewide, wired so new pages inherit correct markup automatically.
  4. Validation receipts. Every type run through Google's validators; results documented and handed over.

What you get

  • A schema audit of your current site (most owners are surprised what's silently broken)
  • Complete JSON-LD implementation across every page type
  • Validation reports proving each type parses cleanly
  • Rich-result eligibility documented — which enhanced displays your pages now qualify for

Receipts

The California mortgage brokerage site we built carries a measured structured-data score of 98/100 — organization, services, FAQs, and a VideoObject live on a product page. On review markup we hold a hard line: we only mark up genuine reviews that live on the page itself, from a verifiable source — never scraped ratings, never invented ones. That discipline is what keeps rich results eligible instead of risking a manual penalty.

FAQ

Questions people actually ask

Will schema improve my rankings?

Schema isn't a direct ranking lever and anyone who promises otherwise is selling. What it does: makes you eligible for richer result displays and gives AI engines verifiable facts — both of which affect whether searchers ever see and click you.

My site already has some schema from a plugin. Isn't that enough?

Plugins emit generic markup, frequently with errors that quietly disqualify you from rich results. The audit will show exactly what yours is actually saying — it's often not what you'd hope.
