Speed2Leads Article Publisher privacy policy
This policy takes effect on October 1, 2026.
Who we are
The Speed2Leads Article Publisher (“the extension”) is made by DarkArc Technologies LLC, doing business as Speed2Leads (“we,” “us”). We decide what the extension collects and why, so we are responsible for it. This policy covers the extension only; our website and services are covered by our main Privacy Policy.
What the extension does
It moves a finished article from your Speed2Leads portal into LinkedIn’s article editor. You click Open in LinkedIn in your portal, the extension fills in the cover image, title, caption and text, and you click Next and Publish yourself. Then it saves the published article’s link to your portal.
The short version
- Works only on LinkedIn's article editor and your Speed2Leads portal. It can't see your feed, messages, contacts or any other website.
- It never posts for you; you always click Publish yourself.
- It never sees or stores your LinkedIn password or login.
- It sends us only the link to the article you published (with a one-time code that ties it to your article), and anything you type into “Something's wrong” or “I have an idea” (with a few details about the problem so we can fix it).
- We don't sell, share, rent or track anything. No ads, no analytics, no trackers; our own hosting, database and email providers handle it only to run the service.
- Uninstall any time from your browser's extensions page; nothing is left behind.
Information the extension handles
The article you chose
When you click Open in LinkedIn, your portal hands the extension that article’s title, text, caption, cover image link, author name and a one-time publishing code. The extension keeps these in your browser’s temporary session storage while it fills in LinkedIn’s editor. The article goes from your portal into the editor and nowhere else. The extension drops the article 30 minutes after you start, and Chrome clears session storage when you close the browser.
The cover image
The extension downloads your article’s cover image from Speed2Leads’ own file storage and places it in the editor. It will not download an image from anywhere else.
Your LinkedIn name, checked in your browser
Before it fills anything in, the extension reads the name LinkedIn shows for the signed-in account on the editor page and compares it with the article’s author. If they don’t match, it stops and tells you. The check happens in your browser, and the name is never sent to us.
The published article link
When you publish, the extension reads your new article’s address from the page and sends it to crm.speed2leads.com with the one-time publishing code, so we can attach it to the right article in your portal.
Feedback you choose to send
If you use “Something’s wrong” or “I have an idea,” we receive what you typed (up to 4,000 characters) along with these diagnostics: the extension version, your browser’s user agent (browser name, version and operating system), the step the extension was on, the last error message, the address of the page it was working on (the site and path only, with everything after the question mark removed), and the publishing code from your last article, so we know which article the report is about.
A settings check
When you click Open in LinkedIn, the extension asks crm.speed2leads.com whether the publisher is switched on and which version is current. That request carries nothing about you or your article.
What it does not collect
- It never reads your LinkedIn password, cookies or login, and its requests to us carry no cookies.
- It doesn’t collect your browsing history; it can’t read the address or title of any tab it didn’t open.
- It never reads your LinkedIn feed, messages, contacts, connections or profile, because it runs only on the article editor pages.
- It has no analytics, tracking or advertising of any kind.
- It never sends your article text back to us; we wrote it, so we already have it.
We never sell, rent or share information from the extension, and we never use it for advertising.
How we use it
We use the published link to mark the article as published and show it in your portal. We use feedback to answer you and fix problems. We use the settings check to switch the extension off, or ask for an update, if LinkedIn changes its editor. We don’t use any of it for anything else.
Where it goes
The extension sends information only to Speed2Leads, at crm.speed2leads.com, over an encrypted HTTPS connection. We store it in our Supabase database. Feedback is also emailed to hello@speed2leads.com so a person reads it the same day. Like any connection on the internet, our servers see your IP address; we use it only to slow down abuse and don’t store it with your feedback. The companies that run our servers (Cloudflare), our database (Supabase) and our email delivery (Resend) handle this data only on our behalf. Besides crm.speed2leads.com, the extension makes one other connection: it downloads your article’s cover image from our own file storage at supabase.co.
How long we keep it
- The published article link: kept as part of your article record for as long as you’re a Speed2Leads client.
- Feedback: kept so we can follow up on it, and deleted whenever you ask us to.
- What’s in your browser: the article is dropped 30 minutes after you start a publish, and the rest (the title and status of your last publish) is cleared when you close the browser or remove the extension.
Permissions it asks for, and why
- Storage, to hold the article and the status of your last publish in the browser’s temporary session storage while it works.
- Access to crm.speed2leads.com, to check its settings, save your published link and send feedback you write.
- LinkedIn’s article editor pages (linkedin.com/article/new and linkedin.com/article/edit), to fill in the cover, title, caption and text, and to pick up the link after you publish.
- Your Speed2Leads portal (crm.speed2leads.com/portal), so the portal can tell the extension is installed and hand it the article you chose.
It runs on no other website. When you click Open in LinkedIn, it opens one new tab for LinkedIn’s editor.
Your choices
You can remove the extension at any time from your browser’s extensions page. Sending feedback is optional. To see or delete feedback you’ve sent, or to ask what we hold about you, email hello@speed2leads.com. California residents have the further rights listed in our main Privacy Policy.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The use of information received from this extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Children
The extension is a business tool for Speed2Leads clients and is not meant for children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change what the extension collects, we’ll update this page and its effective date before the new version goes out.
